About CakeSafe_®

CakeSafe_® is a family owned and operated business in Wakefield, Rhode Island. Our mission is to manufacture the industry-changing cake delivery system, CakeSafe. Our vision is to put a CakeSafe in all of the finest cake bakeries in the world.

Juli is a graduate of Johnson & Wales Culinary Institute and Scott is an engineer. They met in 1983 when Juli moved to RI for school, and they discovered their shared love for Rhode Island and life on the water. They also share a passion for using their talents to create.

Together they raised 3 wonderful kids (and assorted pets), renovated one house, two boats, and built their home in Wakefield.

Juli opened a successful wedding cake business over 20 years ago. In the early stages she realized that moving a large wedding cake is not a simple matter. "It is extremely stressful and potentially damaging to the cake."

Scott came up with the idea for the original cake box and built the first one back in 1989. This prototype box is still being used today. Since they began using these boxes they have not had a single damaged cake due to transport. They have multiple boxes in use for their cake business and they’re able to move several cakes easily in one day.
