Prior to the event of a “Live” Cake Competition, both the Catering Director and I were a bit
concerned since we knew that the Competitors were going to use an
airbrush. The venue decor is plush tapestry drapery, floor-to-
ceiling Mahogany walls, fine art and moreover, the room was going to
be filled with 120 guests dressed in elegant "haute couture" within
close range.
I immediately called Scott and Juli and asked them to send out a Spraybooth.
As Emcee of the event, I dressed appropriately...so just to assure all...I stepped up to the Competitor in my elegant ivory dress....and without any trial run or hesitation, I had the Competitor spray RED food dye directly at me...
Risky yes...BUT OF COURSE all the red food dye and fumes were instantly vacuumed by the filtering system...
The thought of sending Scott and Juli my dry cleaning bill never entered my mind.
The product works...and works really well!
Thank you Scott and Juli.

Scott, Thanks so much for my custom pink spray booth for my new kitchen. This works so well that I just can’t imagine not having one. I no longer need to clean up my work area after using my airbrush, I just LOVE IT! You’re the best!

Most often I opt to airbrushing my cakes, because it allows me to add color verses wasted time on mixing or kneading the color into a large amount of icing or fondant. But something I quickly discovered after purchasing my airbrush was overspray, it gets everywhere especially dark colors like red, black, and blue, all over my cabinets, tables, appliances and kitchen floor, which then means my children or I will track colors onto my tan carpet and up the stairs to the bedrooms, it's a pain!!! One time I even tried airbrushing on my back deck, which was not a great idea either, because it was windy at the time and I was getting spray everywhere except the cake. I have tried lot of different things and to no avail, mess everywhere including me blowing out red and purple snot days after which is always amusing (TMI?) sorry but it's true, you guys know what I speak of, all those that airbrush anyway.
Anyways, on my search of perfecting my airbrushing skills, I notice other professional airbrush artist using an airbrush booth to catch over spray, some rigged up contraptions, and others looked commercially made. So on my ever google search of general cake stuff I happened upon a new cake must have for those that airbrush or are thinking about it. Cake friends, this is one of the best investment I have made since I picked up a piping bag. No more mopping the floor after each cake, no more trying to build a cardboard fortress to protect appliances from too much over spray, no more tracking food dyes on my carpet, and most of all, no more multicolored with a touch of iridescence snot, I give you the Air Brush Spray Booth from CakeSafe.
I was beyond thrilled when I whipped out this puppy to use it on my pumpkin cake, this is the cake that broke in my new booth.
I don't know how they did it, but I kid you not, the only thing I had to wash was my turn table. Over spray travels far and it always gets on every surface in my kitchen, but with this baby my kitchen was CLEAN, and I did not have to waste time in clean up.
All of the overspray got trap in the filter back there, which can be pulled out and rinsed out clean. Nice huh. And it's not loud at all, I would say it is a bit lower than the noise coming from my compressor, and it is not hard to set up, attach the top and side panels, plug it in and flip the switch, that's it, easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Note I did not get any endorsements or anything from these folks, it's just another cake toy I mean tool that I love, I love it so much I'm glad I got two of them, and it get the Cakerator's stamp of approval! Thanks for this great creation Scott and Juli!!!!
Review from The Cakerator.
I have used my booth many times. It is so easy to set up and more importantly it is easy to clean up.
The filter works great. Before, I always got paint in my nose and the fumes were noxious to all who were working nearby. Now the air is clear and clean. Thank you for an efficient product. I would recommend this to all who airbrush.

The Spray Booth from Cake Safe is the best for all your air brushing needs. Zane and I just love the Spray Booth from Cake Safe, I'm in love with it!!! Even if you only do a small amount of air brushing it is the best. The cleanup is almost nothing. The top and side panels remove easily for storage and for quick cleaning. Before I had it I was cleaning over spray for weeks, not anymore!!! I have the two fan boxes.... I do larger cakes and thought the double would be the best way to go for Zane and myself, I was right, I cannot say any more than get it.... It will make a great gift, tell your love ones to get it for you.

Hi Scott and Julie! just wanted to drop you a note about how much I like the Airbrush Booth I just bought. I posted photos on Facebook of me using it. I loved how there was virtually no clean up except for right between the cake and the fan. Nothing outside the box at all! AND I could BREATHE while using it! My son loved watching the filter change colors as I was airbrushing. :) This is going to save me so much time in clean up and I won't have to worry about white cakes being out while I airbrush other cakes. LOVE IT!
Thanks!

Dear Scott and Juli,
I just wanted to send a note to let you know how I like my new airbrush booth. IT IS AMAZING!! I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this booth. I have a very nice airbrush (Grex Tritium TS) which was not used very much because I HATE cleaning up the mess of the color that goes into every nook and cranny of my kitchen. It was an expensive tool that literally sat in the cupboard for the most part because I could not figure out a way to use it without the mess. It is a happy airbrush now, because it will be used like it should be!
When I saw your ad for the airbrush booth, knowing how much I love the Cake Safe, and the high quality it is, I told my husband I KNEW I needed one of them! I figured if anyone could figure out how to make an airbrush booth that would work, it would be Scott. I used it the first time airbrushing deep red roses and fall leaves. I could not believe it when I was done there was NO COLOR ANYWHERE in my kitchen!!! The only place there was color was on the filter and right in front of the box. I (for the first time EVER) did not have multi colored nose hair!! This needs to be in the hands of every cake decorator that has an airbrush, IMO.
Scott, (and Julie!) you have come up with a product that I never thought would be affordable for folks like myself. It is a tool that will save me literally HOURS of cleaning. Having a small business, time is money, and this booth sets up in less than 2 minutes, is easily cleaned, and stores perfectly. (although I don't see myself storing it, it is soon going to have it's own place on my work bench!) I just can't find words enough to tell you how great I think it is.
Thank you so much for taking the time to design a tool that is invaluable to those of us who use an airbrush. I am attaching some pics of me using my new favorite cake tool!
Sincerely,

Scott,
I am writing in regards to the airbrush shield that I purchased from you. I am so pleased with this device that I wanted to share my experience with others. I have had an airbrush for over two years but could not use it because of the particles left in the air ( and all over the room.) I suffer with asthma and chronic bronchitis and did not fare well health-wise after much airbrushing. Needless to say, I did not much appreciate the particles that were also left behind on the furniture and walls. I bought this machine and first used it at a class given by a well known cake artist. She had 16 students using this to complete a portion of their cake. I was amazed that there was no residue left anywhere and no one was bothered by the airbrush particles. It was amazing that all of the residue was captured in the filter at the back of the machine. Shortly after the class, I received a pre filter ( free of charge) that was to be placed on top of the filter. This has worked well and has extended the life of the filter. I would recommend this device to anyone that uses an air brush for cake art. Thanks Scott for a new product that is worth its' weight in gold!
Sincerely,
